What Our Customers Have to SayCheck out the fire fly, the same as the xxxxx but with a few extra features and functions. The single channel unit will handle 1500 watts and the two channel stereo unit will handle 3000 watts. And all units have a 5 year warranty. With the two channel unit you can option one channel to flash with the sound of the thunder, and connect the other channel in reverse mode to a lamp and when the lighting flashes, the lamp will flicker off as if the lightning is affecting the electrical circuit to the house. If you want a first class pro unit, this is it. I am not affiliated with the company, just a very satisfied user. - Brad W, Phoenix, AZ Wow - it works great - exactly as I had hoped. I configured from a std cd/dvd player… to the firefly, then from the firefly to my boom box. All of my lights flicker when the electric shock current plays. I will probably contact you about upgrading once I get through Halloween… It will be the perfect enhancement for next year!- Doug G, St. Petersburg, FL FireFlyWith the advent of FireFly, Lights Alive has set the standard by which all other lightning simulators will be judged. This all new family of products, engineered and manufactured in the U.S., is designed to operate with state of the art high intensity LED lamps. Yet, with its unparalleled 3,000 watt power rating, FireFly will also support conventional incandescent or halogen bulbs as well.Built for professional haunted houses, theater and night clubs, yet affordable enough for home haunters, FireFly provides the most realistic lightning effect available anywhere at any price. Without question, FireFly is lightning years ahead of the competition. |
FireFly Model FF-201 OverviewFireFly is a state of the art electronic lightning simulator (and more) designed for theme parks, commercial haunted houses or theater, yet it is affordable enough for the average home haunt. With it’s solid-state design, multiple modes of operation, high power handling capacity and its support of our high-intensity LED light sources, FireFly is “lightning years ahead of the competition”.
LIGHTING CONTROL CHANNELSFireFly model FF-201 is a premium dual-channel lightning simulator which also offers a dimmer option on one channel. Both channels can be used for “stereo” lightning effects or one channel can be switched to the dimmer mode and connected to house lights, porch lights or even a lamp in the window. When there is a close “lightning strike”, not only do you see the lightning flash, but lights connected to the second channel will dim and flicker as though power is about to go out. Very realistic!MAXIMUM POWERA maximum of 3,000 watts of lights can be connected to the FF-201. When used with our SunSpot or PAR 30 LED light sources, this is equivalent to a blinding 30,000 watts of conventional incandescent light!MODESThe FF-201 can be operated in a number of different modes, each yielding its own unique effect. As a two-channel (stereo) lightning simulator, the “lightning” it produces is remarkable realistic. Switch one channel to the dimmer mode and it can be used to dim the house lights or porch light erratically when a “strike” occurs. Also included is a Sound-To-Light mode that switches off all audio filtration and feedback circuits. In the STL mode, all sounds trigger FireFly. This can provide an entertaining effect for those who want a basic way to synchronize lights with music.ELECTRICAL ISOLATIONTo protect the user as well as connected equipment, all FireFly models are equipped with both isolation transformers and solid state optical isolation to separate high voltage circuits from audio connections.LIGHTS SUPPORTEDFireFly was designed to support our SunSpot high intensity, outdoor rated LED light fixtures as well as our PAR 30 LED spot lights. The intense white light and quick reaction time of these lights is unsurpassed in simulating lighting. FireFly also supports conventional incandescent or Halogen bulbs. Even compact fluorescent bulbs work well with our dimmer feature.THRESHOLDIn order to insure that lights fire quickly and offer the appropriate dynamic range, two user adjustable threshold controls are provided for easy end-user optimization. TEST CIRCUITA front panel test button is provided to confirm proper operation of the FireFly circuitry and connected lights.CONTROL METHODFireFly uses true pulse-width phase control to dim lights as opposed to the much less sophisticated burst control used by others. Pulse-width phase control is an absolute must for realistic lightning simulation.WARRANTYLights Alive provides an unprecedented five (5) year limited warranty on all FireFly models.
