Haunted House In ABox is the ultimate light show system for your home or business. You will undoubtedly be the talk of your neighborhood when children step on your porch only to hear your system automatically announce “good evening children… we were expecting you”. Just one clap of “thunder” through your high-power audio system and blinding “lightning” from the multiple strobe lights will send them scurrying down the road to warn their friends. Of course our systems are expandable so you can get progressively more frightening each year.
HHIAB consists of three major components; a 16 channel light controller, a Monster Brain and an MP3 sound controller. The Monster Brain directs the show by communicating with the light controller, the MP3 sound controller and other connected accessories such as additional light controllers, DMX-512 controllers, X10 interfaces and digital input and output cards designed to operate virtually any type of electrical device.
For 2008, Haunted House in a Box comes in two versions. Both have 16 lighting channels. The HHIAB-16-15 comes with a 15 amp light controller at a lower price, The HHIAB-16-30 includes a 30 amp light controller like the earlier Haunted Housi in a Box Pro model.
Choose from two modes of operation:
Continuous Mode: Haunted House in a Box plays audio synchronized to lights continuously until a trigger from a motion sensor or a trigger switch is detected. At that time, specialized audio tracks and lighting effects are played. You can have two triggers total, each having two different trigger sequences that alternate with each trigger received.
Trigger Only Mode: Another option is to have the Haunted House in a Box do nothing until a motion sensor is triggered. At that time, specialized audio tracks and lighting effects are played. You can have two triggers total - each having two different trigger sequences that alternate with each trigger received and then return to quiet mode until the next visitor crosses a motion sensor or a trigger switch is pressed.
Many low cost pre-programmed light shows are available from Lights Alive on interchangeable SD memory cards. We can also program custom shows for your individual needs or you can program your own shows using Animation Director software on your PC.

This motion sensor and trigger package creates some interactivity with the HHIAB Pro. This kit includes a hand-held push button for you to trigger certain events, such as thunder and lightning. Also included is a motion sensor that will trigger such lines as “Welcome children, we were expecting you” when a trick-or-treater approaches your front door.

Animation Director Software
Animation Director (AD) is a totally unique and powerful software application for creating innovative, ever-changing displays. Choose either our grid-based graphical user interface (GUI) or our robust Animation Control Language (ACL) to build your show. Animation Director is the only tool that gives you all the power you need to control lights, music, sounds and special effects to turn your display into a dazzling work of art. Your visitors will experience unparalleled entertainment and leave with a lasting impression they want to share!
Animation Director works directly with the Monster Brain Animation Processor or it can directly manage our series of light controllers including Haunted House In-A-Box Pro and The Christmas Kit. Animation Director can also send X10 signals via a Monster Brain and appropriate power line interface or it can control DMX type DJ/club lighting fixtures with an appropriate DMX controller. AD can control your animated Halloween props through digital input and digital output boards and you can even purchase a servo controller for those custom props having servo motors.
One of the greatest features of AD is “Visualizer”. Simply take a photo of your home or business and upload it to Visualizer. Now you can place simulated light strings within the software and test your newly created show, thus seeing how your show will look before ever installing your lights. Visualizer will even simulate evening or night lighting conditions for a more realistic approximation of your finished project.

Wireless Controllers
Wireless networking eliminates the need for network cables between the Monster Brain and the various lighting controllers. Depending on configuration and terrain, the range can be from several hundred to a few thousand feet. Wireless is the obvious solution when faced with a roadway or other obstruction that doesn’t make hardwiring the system feasible. With these wireless network controllers, it’s possible to link multiple houses or businesses to form a large display being controlled by a single Monster Brain.
A minimum of one server and one client is needed, but many clients may link to a single server. In other words, many light controllers can be controlled by a single Monster Brain or computer running Animation Director software. Please contact us prior to ordering to discuss your specific application and configuration.
The LC4 is a four channel 15 amp light controller that is completely compatible with other products in this group, including the Monster Brain and Animation Director software. A weather resistant enclosure is required if the LC4 is used outdoors. This is an ideal controller for small scenes, animated wreaths, stars, snowflakes or anything else where only four channels are required and where size matters.

ELC-16 Light Controller
For those using our LED light sets or other lower power lights, the ELC-16 is an economical method of adding an additional 16 channels of lighting control. The ELC-16 connects to a single 120VAC circuit and handles up to a 15 amp total load.
