The Mantis Remote Trigger is a four-channel wireless trigger capable of operating at distances of up to 1,000 feet! Each of the four channels is rated at up to five (5) amps at 120 volts AC. It can also handle low voltage DC for solenoid air valves or it can be used to trigger a prop/scene controller such as the microMANTIS or miniMANTIS.
The standard configuration is for latching relays. Specifically, pressing a button on the remote unit turns on a channel until such time as you press another button to turn off that channel. However, you can request custom configurations for momentary operation where the relay is closed only as long as you hold the button. It is also possible to have some channels latch while others are momentary.
Virtually any number of handheld transmitters can trigger the remote relay receiver, so the entire cast at a haunt can trigger props if appropriate. And you can use an unlimited number of relay receivers with a single handheld transmitter so actions can be on the opposite side of the room or even the other side of the haunt. A total of up to 256 different digital addresses are available so several systems can operate independently too. Typical uses of the Mantis wireless remote trigger would include giving actors the ability to turn on lights, trigger a fogger or activate an animated prop without visitors having a clue. For home use, scaring the teens and adults is the goal, not the little folks, so personal control is important with some animatronics. Our AC power adapters can be used to power one, or several Mantis controllers and/or Mantis intelligent sensors. Input is 120 volts AC, Output is 12 volts DC, at either 250 or 700 milliamps (depending on adapter selected.) All three adapters are short-circuit protected and are UL approved. Connector is female 2.1mm x 5.5mm x 11mm, center positive as used by all Mantis products.
